what's an ambassador?

i just discovered that some of my retired players are marked as "ambassador". what do they do? it seems that these players are still somehow active, i could remove them which is not possible with the "normal" retired players.i just discovered that some of my retired players are marked as "ambassador". what do they do?

You can appoint a retired player in your team as a coach. Those are sacked players. Crew sent those released players back in their squads, with the role of "ambassador", instead of coaches.You can appoint a retired player in your team as a coach.
